The Linear-motor-driven Free Piston System (Pat.) has an internal piston inside the cylinder which is driven by an electro-magnet and spring system controlled by the alternating input current cycle. The piston thus forms a single combined structure of two usually different devices; motor and pump. The system is quiet and vibration free, and offers the advantages of easy maintenance and a long operating life.

Specially designed for use in ponds and filters, the pumps can also be used for dry installation on gravity fed systems and swimming ponds.

Prima XL 3200 to Prima XL 15000
Prima XL pumps are designed to have the power to pump high volumes of contaminated water through restrictions encountered in most filter systems.
Plastic bodied, high performance and reliable submersible pump
capable of handling solids.

Prima XL pumps have a powerful 230 volt motor, which is canned in a protective stainless steel case for reliability. With a ceramic sleeve rotating on a triple lip sealed shaft, the working parts are designed to give continuous optimal performance well beyond the two year guarantee. To aid installation the Prima XL can be placed flat on the bottom of the pond in an upright position.

Two new large Prima XL pumps were added to the range in 2001; Prima XL 9000 and Prima XL15000. These pumps are available with an optional float switch, that will turn the pump off it the water drops below a certain level.
The Prima XL pump range complements the range of conventional green machine and gravity green machine filters.
With capacities ranging from 6500 litres up to 27000 litres.

To make pump selection easier Prima XL pumps are all rated at 1.2 meters ( four feet)
To allow for flow losses due to a UVC, a spray bar, pipe work, and allowance for lift up to a filter.
